Acting at Our Scale
Interstiss has been working since 1997 to preserve textile craftsmanship in France and strives to improve its social and environmental practices over the years.
We are aware of the impact that industrial textile activities have on the environment and humanity. We want to act to reduce them.
Our Commitments RSE:
Weaving Connections:
Corporate Social Responsibility is not the concern of ONE company, but of its entire ecosystem. Let’s work together for a more responsible textile industry.
➔ FOR YOU
Since 1997, our products have been carefully crafted in our workshops located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. With extensive experience, INTERSTISS continues to grow day by day in France, staying close to its clients. Our doors are always open to give you a closer look at your production.
Our goal: To restore European and French textile industries to their rightful place in consumers’ hearts and ensure the traceability of our materials.
How? By offering you European and local materials (ideally from France, Italy, Spain) and ensuring that all our materials are certified Oeko-Tex (Standard 100) and Reach, guaranteeing no toxic products.
Experts in polyester, we selected this material because it is strong, technical, and durable. It lasts over time and is less energy-intensive to produce compared to cotton, for example.
Colors remain intact thanks to the sublimation process, and dyes do not leach into wastewater.
It is still a textile product with production impacts.
This is why, since 2023, we have been offering recycled polyester.
Our goal: To reach 25% recycled materials by 2025 and exceed 70% by 2030!
How? By offering you equally high-quality materials from responsible supply chains.
Our recycled polyester comes from plastic waste collected from the sea and/or post-consumer recycled water bottles in Europe.
➔ FOR SOCIETY
Valuing and improving what exists
Our ambition: To preserve a know-how that respects both people and the environment, with automated, modern production tools and jobs in France.
Since 1997, Interstiss has worked on its scale to safeguard its sector’s production chain by integrating new brands, employees, and thereby preserving their jobs and know-how.
Our ambition: To train new generations of men and women in the textile industry.
How?
We commit to passing on the skills and knowledge that make our industry rich. Our employees are trained to become experts, ensuring the longevity of our expertise.
We also act through strong internal training, partnerships with schools, and internships, ensuring that future generations can take over.
Informing our clients and end consumers is important to us. Although we are not bound by regulations, we make it a priority to share the full traceability of our products.
Our labels tell you everything! (And so do our employees—they’re happy to answer your questions!)
➔ FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Let’s adapt to change for the long term.
Because tomorrow’s world is being shaped today, we are acting to limit our environmental impact.
Our goal? To reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by fourfold by 2030, contributing to the Paris Agreement at our scale.
How? We activate all our levers according to our action plan, which includes better energy efficiency of our buildings, raising employee awareness, better transport management, etc.
Our goal: To drastically reduce our textile waste by 2030 and ensure that 100% of our production waste is recovered.
How? By using innovative materials to avoid reworking, using precise machines to prevent unnecessary losses, and continuously working with waste recovery, treatment, and recycling companies.
We use polyester as the main material in our products. No blends are made with other components (like cotton, viscose, etc.). This makes recycling and recovering both our waste and end-of-life products easier.
The textile industry consumes a lot of water and can pollute waterways. The region where our company is located (Loire/Rhône) has experienced numerous cases of water contamination in the past.
Since 1999, we have committed to producing our textiles using transfer sublimation or woven yarn processes.
Unlike the processes typically used in our sector (dyeing, rotary printing, pre-weaving yarn dyeing), our process does not require extra water for fabric preparation or post-printing or dyeing washing.
The inks we use are water-based and do not contain harmful solvents for the environment and people. They are certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Additionally, to support those who act daily for the protection of life, we support Rivières Sauvages, which works to protect the last wild rivers in France and Europe.
